Air Fryer Bread

How To Cook Air Fryer Bread (With Tips)

With their ability to cook food with minimal to no oil, air fryers have quickly become a popular kitchen appliance in recent years. Did you know that bread can be baked in an air fryer as well? Yes, you read that correctly; you can have fresh, homemade bread that tastes like it came out of the oven warm and fluffy. Here, I’ll share my method for baking bread in an air fryer, along with some helpful hints for achieving the best results.

Let Start!

Gathering the necessary ingredients is the first step in making bread in an air fryer. You will also need warm water, sugar, salt, yeast, and flour. You can use all-purpose flour, bread flour, or even whole wheat flour if you like. Either active dry yeast or instant yeast will work for the yeast. Take note that sugar and salt amounts vary from recipe to recipe.

1: Knead the Dough

When you have everything you need, it’s time to get the dough together. First, in a very large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. After that, pour in the hot water and knead until a cohesive dough forms. After a few minutes of kneading, the dough should be smooth and elastic.

2: allow the dough to rise.

The dough needs to rest and rise after it has been mixed and worked. Roll the dough into a ball, place it in a greased bowl, cover it with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for an hour. This is the time period during which the dough should rise to its full potential.

3: Forming the dough into a ball

After the dough has risen, you can begin to work with it. If there are air bubbles in the dough, gently punch them out before shaping the dough into a loaf. For this, roll out the dough into a rectangle and then roll it up like a jelly roll. Fill the basket of your air fryer with the formed dough.

5: Bake

Time to bake some bread, at long last! Put the dough in the air fryer’s basket. Cook the bread for 20 minutes at 300 degrees Fahrenheit, or until it reaches a golden brown color.

6: Wait for it to cool down

Take the bread out of the air fryer once it’s done cooking and set it to cool on a wire rack. Caution is advised, as the bread will be sizzling.

Tips!

Always use precise measurements when baking bread for the best results.

Your dough may need a bit more flour if it is too sticky to work with. Extra water may be needed if the mixture is too dry.

Spray the dough with water before cooking to achieve a crispier crust.

Before baking, brush the crust with melted butter for a softer texture.

Before shaping the dough into loaves, you can enhance the flavor of your bread by mixing in ingredients like herbs, seeds, or cheese.

All Done!

Without having to turn on the oven, you can still enjoy freshly baked bread by using an air fryer. A freshly baked, delicious loaf of bread can be yours with just a little bit of effort and the right ingredients. Best of all, you can customize it to your liking by using a different kind of flour, herbs, seeds, or cheese. You won’t believe how simple and tasty it can be until you try it.
